Reception Layout
The layout of the reception area will be governed by the amount of space available however there are principles to achieve the right layout based on types of reception settings.
All Corporate logos should be located on the external face of the building however where buildings have shared occupancy the logo should appear on the doors into the main reception area. The logo should also appear behind the reception desk on a white background.
A curved light blue feature wall and associated gypsum feature ceiling with down lights should be used to define the waitingarea, the reception desk should be located in a separate area.
Plasma screens should be located on the feature wall near the waiting seating to allow for visitor interaction. Ideally where applicable connectivity and power should be provided, use of a power mushroom would help allow for visitors to use this area to connect their laptops and use it as a temporary touchdown.
Occupants should avoid putting up any company notices or posters on the walls or furniture as this conveys the wrong impression in large scale buildings only.Timber slated screens can be used either as a backdrop to the reception desk when there is no wall or alternatively to mark the walkway into or separate the reception from the main office area.
In the case of larger receptions additional artwork should be placed close to the waiting area in an appropriate location.
The reception should provide secure access to the primary circulation within the building and ideally should provide easy access to cafe and touchdown facilities
