Whilst a designated desk may be where most staff will spend the majority of their time they will often require a different type of space for different activities. There are also an increasing number of people who can work without having a dedicated work station. Having the choice and flexibility to perform these activities is therefore very conducive to a well performing office.

Non allocated work zones consist of various zones applicable to various activities ranging from one to ones to tele-conferencing to breakout and touchdown. They are generally best located towards the entrance to the office space allowing staff to use them quickly without causing too much disruption to the allocated workspace zones.
